I am pleased to announce that on Friday July 30th Michael Ignatieff and the Liberal Express will be stopping in St. Catharines for a tour of our historic Welland Canals as well as for an old fashioned Town Hall Meeting. The Town Hall Meeting will be held in the historic Old MerrittonTown Hall, located at 343 Merritt St, and will begin at 2PM with Mr. Ignatieff taking any and all questions that St. Catharines residents have. This event is open to everyone and there is no charge to attend this event. This is a great opportunity to meet and speak directly to the Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada.

Please join Rob and Remo from Big Marco’s and myself as we raise funds for the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. The event will be held at Big Marco’s Restaurant on Friday February 19th with doors to the event opening at 6:30pm. Tickets for the dinner are $20.00 with all proceeds being donated to the Canadian Red Cross’ efforts in Haiti. Together we can make a difference and help our friends in Haiti rebuild. On Thursday February 11th 2010 I will be at Woodland School to help judge a speech competition for the students in Grades 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 on a variety of subjects.

On January 1st, 2010 I will be attending the New Years Day Levee between 11am and 1pm at the Lake Street Armouries. For the last two years Mayor and Council have partnered with the Lincoln and Welland Regiment to host the Levee.

Tonight I will be at the New Years Eve Niagara Ice Dogs game with my son Matthew at the Gatorade Garden City Complex.
